Crikey Maaate!!!

Sorry for the long delay on the blog report. But here goes again. :)
After the Tiger Schmiger calamities, we finally got to Port Douglas! and oh how wonderful it was to finally have some heat!! The weather there is so warm!
We met up with the O'Riordans after our flight, and lovely Helen shared a banana with us!! This was probably the highlight of the whole trip! haha...not really (but it was amazing!!) I love banana's and it makes me so sad that theyre $15 a kilo!! AH
anyway. Eventful Port douglas!
- we caught a boat out to the Great Barrier Reef, and snorkeled!! It was so so beautiful and unlike anything I've ever done before...an added bonus being out that far in the water was, there was no chance of being attacked by a crocodile!! The colours were amazing...and the fish were exquisite!
who's the weirdo wearing a snorkel?

- We went to the markets and went on a walk to the biggest waterfall I've ever seen! nothing compared to the little trickles of water at the Grampians....it would have been even better in the wet season!

Mum and Dad are true hippies at heart :)

- We went out to the rainforest to Mossman Gorge...which can only be described through pictures. It was one of my favourites i think. Just so relaxing and lovely :)

- The Daintree is the oldest rainforest in the world!! Did you know that??? because i tried to convince Mum that it wasn't, until Dad said that it actually was haha....WOW! On this day trip we saw some amazing things. ...and no unfortunately it wasn't Bindi Irwin!...we saw a crocodile eating a calf!! and the rainforest surroundings were just out of this world. I was extremely disappointed when i didn't see a Cassowary though! I only spent my entire holiday searching for one.    :(
CRIKEY!!!!

I don't know how to rotate this, but its a funny sign of a DUMB cassowary!! they dont exist i swear!

- The Market at Port Douglas has a great atmosphere and is full of wonderful Hippies!! :) How fun!

Coming home to Melbourne's freezing cold was certainly not anyones cup of tea. Port Douglas is definitely a spot to visit. :)

Sorry this blog post is  bit random and cuffuffled...but i think it will do :) haha

Love you and miss you dear Nomi...and i want to hear about your Hawaii holiday!!

xxxxxx
