Year 11 social...I needed you!

Naomi de Valle we needed your expertise so much!...it was all quite dramatic really we couldn't wrap up my dress, it looked like a toga. We had NO idea how to do my hair and Steph was saying 'think like Naomi' to herself as she did it...then left half way through so I was left with mum who had to try pin and curl my hair into something decent...we were trying to go the 'whimsical look'

I only had like an hour to get ready which Jess was able to do my makeup in. Iwas late to the before party and missed all the group photos, how sad :( I'm sure none of that would have happened if you were here.

This is what we managed to whip up whithout you :)...I'm wearing your necklace! and mimco earrings I bought myslef in the city for 70% off!

The hero of the night...mummy :)....Finally at the before party at Abbey's...

But don't worry the social was fun once I got there! even though my dr
ess did unravel and we had to have an emergency re wrap in the bathroom. You'll be proud I did not take my heels off once!... and then I danced all night at the afterparty...I wish I could tell you all about it on the couches in the lound room!

My best friends...

This is just a 'moving image' of us while the photo's where being taken, there were about 16 girls there...it was all very exciting.

p.s sorry this is very rushed!!...and sorry there are no group photos because I wasn't in them!

Crikey Maaate!!!

Sorry for the long delay on the blog report. But here goes again. :)
After the Tiger Schmiger calamities, we finally got to Port Douglas! and oh how wonderful it was to finally have some heat!! The weather there is so warm!
We met up with the O'Riordans after our flight, and lovely Helen shared a banana with us!! This was probably the highlight of the whole trip! haha...not really (but it was amazing!!) I love banana's and it makes me so sad that theyre $15 a kilo!! AH
anyway. Eventful Port douglas!
- we caught a boat out to the Great Barrier Reef, and snorkeled!! It was so so beautiful and unlike anything I've ever done before...an added bonus being out that far in the water was, there was no chance of being attacked by a crocodile!! The colours were amazing...and the fish were exquisite!
who's the weirdo wearing a snorkel?

- We went to the markets and went on a walk to the biggest waterfall I've ever seen! nothing compared to the little trickles of water at the Grampians....it would have been even better in the wet season!

Mum and Dad are true hippies at heart :)

- We went out to the rainforest to Mossman Gorge...which can only be described through pictures. It was one of my favourites i think. Just so relaxing and lovely :)

- The Daintree is the oldest rainforest in the world!! Did you know that??? because i tried to convince Mum that it wasn't, until Dad said that it actually was haha....WOW! On this day trip we saw some amazing things. ...and no unfortunately it wasn't Bindi Irwin!...we saw a crocodile eating a calf!! and the rainforest surroundings were just out of this world. I was extremely disappointed when i didn't see a Cassowary though! I only spent my entire holiday searching for one.    :(
CRIKEY!!!!

I don't know how to rotate this, but its a funny sign of a DUMB cassowary!! they dont exist i swear!

- The Market at Port Douglas has a great atmosphere and is full of wonderful Hippies!! :) How fun!

Coming home to Melbourne's freezing cold was certainly not anyones cup of tea. Port Douglas is definitely a spot to visit. :)

Sorry this blog post is  bit random and cuffuffled...but i think it will do :) haha

Love you and miss you dear Nomi...and i want to hear about your Hawaii holiday!!

J'adore mes Soeurs - Beauty

I just love art by Alphonse Mucha! It is just beautiful :)
I want to dedicate these to represent the 5 of us sisters.
To embrace beauty, grace, womanhood, sisterhood, and life.
My dear sisters, as all of these paintings are beautiful, so are we. This is not supposed to sound vain, it is to help us remember how wonderful life is and how lucky we are and we should be full of so much joy for what we have been blessed with.
Our dearest Mumma came up with these words for her daughters.

Sarah. Beautiful. Generous. Sensitive. Caring. Graceful.

Naomi. Beautiful. Bubbly. Vivacious. Loving. Strong.

Stephanie. Beautiful. Sweet. Thoughtful. Nurturing. Fashionable.

Jessy. Beautiful. Funny. Gentle. Compassionate. Kind.

Jordana. Beautiful. Graceful. Courageous. Smart. Thoughtful.

Tiger Schmiger!!

Well you know they always say...never trust a Tiger. Well now I'm sure it's true!
Yesterday was a day of excitement!
I went to the beautiful little vegetarian cafe with Teagan and had the best coconut Hot Chocolate and fruit toast ever!
I also had a Banana Smoothie with my friend Bek and Pop's cafe...now this was a super duper novelty...because banana's are fool's gold!!! :)
I went into Frankston and picked up my long awaited Irish Tin Whistle!!!
:O EXCITING!! I'll be a dancing leprechaun in no time!! :D My aim is to learn how to play this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUQ7w9gxEJQ
You may recognise this as the hobit sing from Lord of the Rings!...well thats because it is!! YAY!

After I'd done this i took a leap of faith and dip-dyed my hair pink. It's wash out...and I figured, if i don't do it now, I'll won't ever do it! So I now have half pink hair...i surprisingly like it!! haha

So the reason for the name of this blog, is we were traveling to Port Douglas tonight!! We got really good flights with Tiger airways, and arrived on time, and for the first time ever had no delays!
Jordy and I had a hoot in the waiting area, eating magnums and me being really mature and jinxing her so she wasn't allowed to talk until i said her full name 10 times. ..yeah I'm cool like that? haha
We walked out half a mile to get to the plane and were right up the front with quite enough leg room. Very nice ;)
Ok. Get to the point jess.
We were halfway to Cairns, and an announcement was sounded over the speaker. Imagine....
"schhhhhh....We are having a minor technical difficulty with the plane, and unfortunately have to return back to Melbourne"
AHHHH. We flew back to Melbourne, while Jordy and Mum were slightly freaking about possible flight death!
They also informed us we had to fly around in circles for an hour to get the fuel levels down. oh so painful!!
When we arrived in Melbourne they welcomed us back to Melbourne and welcomed any holiday-ers and hoped we would enjoy our stay...in a nice cheery voice. IDIOT
We are back in sunny melbourne at 2 in the morning, and had to wait for our bags to come around the conveyer belt, while they played Angus and Julia Stone to calm the raging crowd!/exhausted sleep crowd.
We drove home with no explanation or offer of anything exciting, and are now trying to organise something else. Ridiculous!!

So yes. Like i said. Never Trust a Tiger. Tiger Schmiger.
:(
